Meet our new trustees!

We are so excited to welcome our two newest trustees, Phoebe Cooke and Toks Plumptre.

Phoebe Cooke
Phoebe Cooke

Phoebe is joining Accomplish as our new Secretary. She is a part-time master's student studying International Development. Alongside this, she has extensive administrative experience working within the Arts sector and she is passionate about accessibility. Working with Accomplish brings her previous experience and recent studies together.

Toks is a paediatric nurse, who brings extensive knowledge and experience of living and working in Africa. She grew up in Nigeria and trained in the UK.

At the age of 26, Toks went to work in Uganda with the Church Mission Society, where she spent 15 years. Six of those years were at Kagando Hospital in South West Uganda, close to some of Accomplish's partner organisations.

Aware of the challenges posed by the location and terrain, and of the poverty that so many people face, Toks is passionate about working with children and their families in Uganda. She is also aware of the particular challenges faced by disabled children. She knows the difference our partners have made to the lives of so many of these children and their families, so is excited to be joining Accomplish.

Our trustees are all volunteers, who meet throughout the year to form and guide the strategy for raising funds and awarding grants. Some of our trustees travel to Africa regularly to meet with our partner organisations on the ground and to visit the projects we support.

As a small charity, our trustees and wider group of amazing volunteers are essential to the success of Accomplish. There are many ways our volunteers get involved with their time and skills.

If you have time you could offer, we’d love to hear from you!

At the moment, areas in which we’d especially welcome volunteers include the following:

  • fundraising

  • contacting businesses and corporate fundraising

  • spreading the story of Accomplish
