Mumbere David, a Ugandan physiotherapist working at Kyaninga Child Development Centre (KCDC) in Fort Portal, moved to Kasese in January to open a new child development centre there (pictured below).
David, who Accomplish sponsors, visited Kasese twice a month last year to hold clinics at a school run by another of Accomplish's partner organisations, the Rwenzori Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities (RAP-CD). Such is the demand for physiotherapy that KCDC decided to set up in Kasese permanently. David, whose family come from Kasese and how has been leading outreach work, was the ideal choice to head up this new centre.
This is a very exciting development, demonstrating the cooperation between the projects we support in Uganda and the dedication of the people working there.
