Accomplish volunteer Jessica Acton is currently in Uganda meeting Accomplish's partners and some of the inspirational children and families with whom we are working. Here, she introduces them and tells their stories...
Julius is a primary school teacher, as well as caring for his five children. His son David is severely disabled and needs a lot of support, attention, and medication. However, he responds positively to stimulation, especially sign language, which Julius is trying to learn.
Joyline and Jesca have a genetic corneal condition which means they are rapidly losing their eyesight and can't go to school. They are bright and friendly, and have developed heightened touch and memory skills.
